I read it in a kindle edition but I don't have an online subscription myself. If you search the ST site for steve ridgeway you will see the headline "Steve Ridgway ejects"

Weird that it's the ONLY paper/news/google-able source with it. Normally these things spread all over the place...

The printed article (I know, so old fashioned) says he announced it earlier this year but is hanging on until a successor is found, for which the search is underway. The article surmises the the COO is one candidate, as is the soon to be departing head of Air New Zealand.

I don't think it will be Fyfe, at least not at the money that Ridgeway is/was making.

Oh well, let's see who SRB brings in, it will tell us a little of which way VS is heading in the next few years.

Huh, do people think this is a good or a bad thing for VS??

After all he did bring the pen back to UC y)

I had not realised that he had been at the post for so long either, perhaps too long given the constant reinvention rhetoric that the airline industry throws upon the marketplace. A fair tenure though, and it is not like he is going far... one article makes reference to a new post being created for him ?| Over to Virgin Galactic do we think to oversee construction of their new space station shaped like the moon, or perhaps a star of some sort.... ):

With a new captain at the controls I wonder where VS will fly off to next ?| (Tacky metaphor I know but def appropriate)

Thank you Mr Ridgway.
