The NZ lounge at SYD is fine ( not quite as nice IMHO as the NZ lounge at LAX) but with the nice same selection of NZ wines . It can also get pretty busy in there .

I thought I read somewhere that VS were building their own lounge in SYD but no sign of it yet.

During my last trip through there, they had a pretty good selection of food, including make your own hot dogs!

and in Dennys in Chicago you could make your own burgers and shakes

Wasn't that Virgin Australia though that said that? I think there where mentions about a shared/combined Virgin lounge at SYD but not sure if this was ever actually confirmed?

Virgin Australia and Etihad are slated to be opening a joint lounge in Sydney, and Melbourne, see here.
VS may use this facility once opened.
