V-Flyer

After innumerable flights to and from Belfast City, I finally got my first taste of this lounge courtesy of the fully flex Y ticket that I am travelling on. Reasonable size place, ok drinks selection but rather devoid of atmosphere, or anything decent to eat (crisps, biscuits, fruit, not much else).

Only real point of note is the two rather well known actors in here who I assume have come from filming Game of Thrones (which takes place in a studio within spitting distance of my office).

One more guinness and I'll be ready to board...

Make that 'three' well known actors. I really, REALLY love Game of Thrones!

Met a few in a bar in Holywood when they were filming the first series. Hadn't heard of it before and read the first book, then the second etc etc etc. Running out of patience now for George RR Martin to get on with finishing it.

Is it still called the bmi lounge?
Assume BA use it now?
Heard that BA are laying off all Belfast bmi staff at end of October...

Ugh, I hadn't heard that one Sealink. Although that doesn't seem to make a lot of sense as it's not as if BA had their own staff already based there that could take over...

As for the branding, there is a floor standing sign at the entrance in BA colours, but it's otherwise done out in the lighter blue that youy associate with BMI, and the internal windows still have BMI etched into them...
