Afternoon all, I have just received my Amex Membership Rewards magazine and it says I will receive 35% bonus miles when transferring them to my Virgin Atlantic FC account. y)

T&C's state "this offer is only valid for the recipient of this mailing"

Whereabouts did it say about the offer? I don't *think* I saw anything in my mailing I received, but may have to root through the recycling to double check

The offer is on the back cover and inside the Membership Rewards Magazine, T+C's on page 15.

try logging into your Amex rewards account, see if you get the banner on the page

Received the Mag in the post and the offer is there (next to the one offering a 40% bonus for transferring to BA Avios :w )

Can someone tell me what magazine this is and how you get it. Am I right in assuming its not the "Departures" mag.

No it is not in the Departures magazine it is the Membership Rewards magazine.

If you log into your Amex then go to Rewards - shopping - Travel with points there should be an advert for it on that page.

It is in this magazine.

I've been with AMEX Platinum for about 10 years now and never seem to get these offers. Only get the Departures magazine, never anything from MRs. Sitting on a load of points atm but don't really need to use them.

A loophole I read a while back was a set up a green IDC card, transfer your MRs to that 62% bonus (based on the exchange rate today), then participate in bonus transfers like the one the OP describes.
