SFO Clubhouse Question

Reading on VX’s pages while searching for info on an upcoming cross country flight, I discovered that Elevate members can buy a pass into the CH in SFO for $35.

On Friday afternoon (21 Sep), I’m flying VS PE on SFO – LHR and have a 4-5 hour wait before my flight. I’m a Flying Club member.

I’d gladly pay $35 to spend my time in the pleasant surroundings of the CH. And I’d love to try the legendary Redhead I’ve heard so much about.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Only if you're flying on VX the same day and in First or Main Cabin Select I believe.

Slinky is right, you need to be ticketed in first or MCS...though you can just pay at SFO if you're an elevate member....honestly though, I wouldn't bother, by the time you're through immigration an all that and bear in mind that VX operate from a different termnial (T2) than VS....also, T2 is really really nice, one of the best in the country in my opinion and I've seen a lot of terminals over here.

Another quick question regarding the SFO Clubhouse.
The wife and I are looking at travelling to NZ next year flying VS19 LHR-SFO then Air NZ7407 SFO-AKL in PE all legs, providing we make AU will we be eligible to use the SFO Clubhouse?

Many Thanks

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but no.

Access is only if travelling on VS metal. Codeshares don't apply regardless of FC status.

Besides, Air NZ operate from the "*A side of the int terminal" i.e where United etc are, however, if you make Au by the trip then ANZ will give you access to whichever lounge they're using. Not sure if they have their own.

Thanks at least there is some good news then, if not we have Priority Pass anyhow.

Many Thanks.

You might want to double check, but I think that's the case.

IIRC ANZ use the EVA lounge. May have changed, but was still true earlier in the year.

The SFO website says that NZ flies from the G gates and pax use the UA Red Carpet Club

When I was looking at ANZ for our trip to Cairns in Nov the FT ANZ board was suggesting that the EVA lounge was available, which while not great is certainly going to be a major improvement over the United Club. Alas, decided to go around the long way to HNL and then island hopper to Guam and GUM-CNS, so won't be able to verify in six weeks ...
