Help please (price variations)

Hello,
I'm intending to fly to Vancouver (probably on Virgin but maybe BA) in June next year. The price currently given seems awfully high (£860); I was wondering if it is likely to drop at all between now and then, or will any likely movement be upward only. Is there any way of looking at how prices have fluctuated in previous years? I'd be very grateful for any help or thoughts.

Unfortunately you just missed a sale.

But based on previous form, both BA and VS are almost certain to start new sales just before Christmas if you can hang on that long.

Of course there's no guarantee that any particular flight on any particular route will be included ...

Hard to offer any advice; perhaps other using this route will be aware of any seasonal price spikes.

Otherwise, if you see a price you can live with, go for it.

Can't help on the prices but the route must be working for VS if they are selling tickets for next year on the YVR route

Just did a dummy booking for random dates in June (out Sat 8th and return Sat 22nd) on expedia and prices were coming out at

VS £ 878
BA £ 893
AC £ 875

So VS not that far out of line with other carriers

You could do DL for £ 671 but that requires a change (in the US)

Thanks everyone for your help, I suppose I'll just have to take a chance and hope I buy at the right time.
