MAN - LAS Sept 12

Hey There

Used this forum as a handy resource when planning my trip so thought I'd pop up a quick post to help anyone else if possible.

Flew VS085 Man - Las end of Sept. Premium Economy. Flew on a refurb plane and was seated upstairs in the bubble. Great flight and the refurb planes really are a cut above. Loved the inflight entertainment system with the bigger screen etc. Crew were superb and no problems with drinks running out etc that has happened on this route before.

Only negative is that the Economy passengers were disembarked before us and this meant we were stuck in a massive queue at Immergration as a TC flight lands at the exact same time. It seems trivial but it really annoys me that you pay extra to get the priority boarding and then it doesnt happen.

Returned - VS086 Man - Las - on an old plane -none refurb. Absolute disgrace to be still been offered as a PE product. Seats really uncomfy and actually falling apart, inflight entertainment not working in several seats.

Had one very poor crew member in the bubble and one who was extremly good and seemed to realise how poor the girl he was working with actually was and made up for it. Overall flight on time etc but nothing can make up for the state of the plane. Far below the standard you expect for what you pay.

Both ways the food was poor and on the return leg they ran out of first choice on the menu. However I really hate plane food so I might be biased.

In short - refurb planes superb all round but try to be seated downstairs.

Old planes disgraceful - choose another provider if there is a chance you might get an unrefurbed plane. They really are that bad.

Cheers

Reds

We flew in last Thursday on G-VTOP, absolute disgrace. One of the dirtiest and oldest planes I've flown on. Crew differed some lovely some not so. Food was awful. Offered a soggy sausage roll as a snack, I didn't know Virgin and Greggs had joined forces. I see English Rose is on her way today so im hoping we fly back on her tonight.

It will definitely be a refurbished a/c, as both a/c on route to LAS are refurbished ones. ROS is operating the MAN and GAL the LGW, so it doesn't matter even if they swap.

Thanks Neil. It will be nice to appreciate the difference in planes. Although all i want is some sleep on the plane, i hate night flights.
