Has the Virgin Atlantic Android App been removed from the Google Play store? I cannot find it there, nor does this site suggest that it still exists: http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/us/en/th ... -zone.html

I have it on my phone and it still works but want to install on a Android tablet, searched the store, nothing.

I can only find VA Journal, which is still in the Play store.

If thats the one you wanted, it may that it is not approved for the version of android on your tablet- although it is listed as 2.0.1 and up. I've heard of some apps that do not appear in the store for versions over 4.0

I wasn't aware of a Virgin Atlantic android app, i.e. an android version of the ios app. I always thought that was always only a IOS only.

Must admit I've always found it odd why companies make an app for OIS but not other platforms. It's not as if OIS has the greatest share of users. ?|

You say "App"....wasn't it just a link to their woeful mobile website ultimately? I've not been able to login to my flying club account on the mobile site for 2 years now.

Yes, a link to the mobile site, but it has gone it seems. I can login alright from my phone. Anyway, just wondered.

Maybe, just maybe, this is a sign that a proper app is coming! As much as I hate to fly UA metal, I'm putting more and more business their way, and their web products are pretty stellar. Their android app is excellent, really excellent.

Agree with that - all my US internal flights are now UA. This is 100% down to their IOS APP.
Boarding Passes, seat changes, account lookups and flight status push messages. All very slick and they work!
VS could do worse by just looking at the UA APP.

Yes, their flight status push message service is great, plus you get an automated phone call of any status change. Now, if they just improved the inside of the planes they'd be a force to be reckoned with.
