Is the bid for upgrade still going?

I was just remembering this thing last year, having discussed "looks like interesting, but in reality not worth it" things which virgin has done recently: Seat Plus, paying for the Clubhouse and exclusive checkin (can't remember what that was called), and the "Pay for double or triple miles".
So did anyone bid for an upgrade? Did they get it? Did anyone get much of a bargain? Has anyone seen the offer recently?
I can imagine that they were probably not bargains if bid with a view to securing them...

I had it come up in October, but the lowest bid price was actually higher than I knew was available so upgraded to PE by phone. Not seen it on my existing booking though.

Same here - it popped up for a booking in September, I think, but the minimum bid was a bit steep and at the time more than the fare difference on that particular flight!
It was only ever available on a handful of flights, I think - VS45 being one of them.

I'm flying MAN-MCO next week and the bid upgrade is available on my booking. The lowest available is £195 with a £65 flight duty surcharge and the highest is a whopping £600!. After a quick seat plan check there are only a few middle middle row seats available.
Thanks but no thanks!

My return from NYC next Tuesday is offering this, starting at £190.
