An idle question, why is flight VS051 so popular compared with other Caribbean flights?

What makes you suggest it is more popular than other Caribbean flights?

It that for a specific date though? The Caribbean routes are quite funny as they aren't daily, sometimes they are direct, sometimes they are double drops, so it's not always comparing apples with apples.

My guess would be because its a double-drop route and there is currently only one weekly flight, (compared to such other islands as Barbados which has a daily flight and Antigua which has three weekly.)

Apparently no flight on Mon 18th March. Pity cause Virgin Holidays had us booked on it. When i contacted them this morning after trying to book my seats for the return they assured me all was ok for the 18th. I wanted to book my seat(PE both ways) so they told me to contact VA. VA assured me that there was no flight on that day. Rang VH again and they agreed there was no flight on that day so i had to pay £800 plus for the extra three days to stay to the Thursday or move my departure forward three days for the same price. Second option then. Several calls later(this was taking all afternoon)VH told me that i could have the 2 week Holiday for the same price but would have to book my own UK connectors but they would refund the £175 i had already paid towards this.. I then booked my uk connectors £204 and authorised VH to book the revised dates. They rang me back and said all had been rescheduled but as it had cost them money they now would not be refunding as promised my connector flights. No amount of reasoning could budge them. Waiting for supervisor to ring within 24hrs. In the meantime having last choice of seats on revised outbound flight. Getting more angry by the minute :(!

I would also be fuming at this....oh and also looking at what the law says about this sort of situation. Good luck with resolving this unnecessary situation :(!

Matter thankfully seems to be resolved now. Got an email from Customer Service supervisor this morning to acknowledge that there had been an issue not resolved to my satisfaction. Stated that he would ring me within24/48 hrs. This afternoon i checked in to manage my booking to try to book seats for return leg on VS052. My BP then ascended northwards in a manner akin to a tachometer on a Bugatti Veyron. Apparently the matter had been resolved by booking me return domestic flights without consultation and adding them to my itinerary. Contacted VH supervisor at once, and, after explaining that his colleague had caused me to buy my own connectors he understood the real problem. The refund of my £175 as agreed. In fairness he could not have been nicer and after another call(him getting authorizaton ) agreed to cancel the flights he had added and refund my money.Just a pity it all could not have done yesterday. What a carry on. Sorry to all for the long post ...just look upon it as a bedtime story. For those of you still awake sleep well ][|)
PS Think i shall ignore the nagging pre flight amble relating to not asking for too much elixir
