Aer Lingus will be operating the VS short-haul services. Aircraft will be in VS colours, staff trained by Virgin.

Hot breakfast will be served on morning flights, snacks on day flights.

There will be 6 daily round trips to Edinburgh and back, and 3 to Manchester and Aberdeen. That's 24 flights a day.

Manchester starts 31st March, ABZ and EDI starts 'April 2013'. The flights should be on sale in the next week

Good news indeed. Living in the north I generally have to fly down to the London airports to connect.
One thought though, isn't Ryanair trying to take over Aer Lingus? Would that be the end of the promised inflight refreshment ! :(!

EDI allegedly leaves 06.40, MAN leaves 06.50 - I would guess the MAN flight unless they try and coordinate them for one big party ):

David

Edited to add : wonder if the flight times would allow me to do EDI-LHR, LHR-MAN, MAN-LHR and LHR-EDI all on the 31st March :D

Great, thanks so we might be 10 mins behind but the shorter distance should make it up! More flights = more fun to be had!
