Pleased to see that over Christmas some festive treats are lined up on board once again!!

Virgin will be offering passengers a traditional Christmas dinner on all flights to and from the UK on 24th, 25th and 26th December. The dinner will include turkey, stuffing, roast potatoes, brussel sprouts, parsnips, pigs in blankets and gravy.

UC passengers will also receive festive chestnut soup as a starter and Christmas pudding with brandy butter, followed by afternoon tea of filo-topped warm mince pies and Cornish clotted cream.

Passengers travelling in Economy and Premium Economy from the UK will receive a mince pie and a special Lindt chocolate Santa to follow on from their main meal.

Poop, we fly back from Blighty to sfo on the 27th. Sounds ace though.

Know the feeling....flying out to LAX on 29th...looks like crappy pasta, vegetarian or some chicken thingy for us then ):

Deary me, no... Cold cuts, mashed potato and pickles is the only way to make it through until twelfth night...

Ha ha, you mean VS are not going for a festive treat and resurrecting some of the classics... turkey stuffed with mushrooms and a special field mushroom gravy, or even the chestnut and mushroom soup for those lucky UC fliers

For those flying over the Xmas period, I do hope the food is mushroom free and the usual festive cheer keeps the experience top notch and TR worthy. Roll on the mulled wine 8D

Be careful what you wish for.

I was chatting to the FSM on VS20 on Thursday and she said the Christmas Day flights nowadays are full and everyone is miserable. I'm not sure that a festive menu is likely to cheer them up!

Well lets hope they manage to load enough food and don,t run out like normal !

Sprouts! There's nowt wrong with sprouts. I put mine on the minute I arrived back in Ireland from South America. Admittedly it was a bit late - should have been the week before but they're bubbling along nicely. They should be just about ready for Christmas.

Of course, having to watch over them has severely curtailed the time available for TR writing :w

I'm flying to DXB on Christmas Day so will report on the festive offering as soon as I can! Booked Christmas Day as I thought it would be quiet - not so, it seems!
