Does anyone know why VS2 took off 15 minutes late and is arriving at Heathrow over four hours late? Did they get lost?

edit to thread title by mod for clarity........Nick

Rejected take-off / tech problem

Left stand, approx 30 mins taxi/queue until we lined up on the runway.

Judging by the engine note I'd guess we'd just about reached full throttle or thereabouts on our takeoff roll before the brakes got slammed on and we came to a pretty sudden halt.

Taxied back to stand where we waited for approx 3-4 hours while they sorted the problem. Was described as a problem with the landing gear, but not quite sure which set / exactly what the issue was.

CC brought round drinks / snacks (at least for those of us in the bubble in Upper), and the flight deck did their best to keep the pax informed of what was going on and how much longer we'd be.

So just one of those things I guess. Pretty frustrating, but better to be safe than sorry.

And finally an honourable mention to the CC on the Upper deck who had to look after the woman that seemed to think the entire crew were there to wait on her hand and foot. :(!

I don't think so, no.

Thanks for the replies and I'm sorry you had a rough trip. Sorry to admin for the misleading thread title. I was randomly keeping an eye on timekeeping for the flight as I'll be using it in a couple of weeks time.
