Hi V-Flyers

Has anyone out there ever used Virgin Points on ANA? - If so was it easy?

Just that I'm thinking of a mileage trip to Tokyo and beyond, preferably in 1st Class

Regards

Yup - did it last month. It takes them 24 hours to confirm the availability and ticket, but it was relatively pain free.

Can I ask what class / route you went? - just that with some 'partners' (eg Singapore or ANZ) its' relatively easy to get Economy tickets, but impossible to get anything nearer the front of the plane...

Just a quick word, go for first, don't settle for business, the seat is good (from what I have seen), the food is ok..and that's it, first on the other hand is excellent.

Why don't you just use your Virgin miles with Virgin to get to Tokyo?

I can't see a benefit of using ANA, which is a codeshare with VS. Unless you don't need as many miles if you book via ANA?

Arguably, ANA has a better arrival time with their 19:00 flight. It lands at about 16:00 whereas VS lands at 09:00, and from experience that makes for a very long day before bed.

True, but I enjoyed having a long day in Tokyo on arrival. It would have been even better if I hadn't spent too long at the bar. :$
