On checking my account this morning i noticed something:

Does anyone what this 'offer' is and why i got it? It gave me 2 extra tier points + a few k in extra miles for my flight last week. Is this like a temporary thing or how long does this go on for?

I cant remember all the details but, I registered for the extra miles and TP's offer mid 2012. It might have been an automatic "freebie" if the flights were booked at certain time as well.

It then gives the extras if you travel between two dates.
I'm sure someone with a better memory than me will be along with more accurate info.

So, I got them on my Nov and Dec flights. y)
You travelled in the date window and got the bonus. y) y)

Wonder if we get them on the MAN/LHR inaugural? ii)

Cheers
Paul

This was an offer from last year giving extra miles and Tier Points to those who signed up for it.

It gives you 4 bonus TP's and 50% extra base miles on your first return flight and then 8 bonus TP's and 100% extra base miles on your second return flight taken before Feb 28th 2013.

It was covered quite extensively here

IIRC, the miles bonus was 50%/100% of the actual earned miles, not base miles. So if you were on a full fare UC ticket, you'd do very nicely, if you were in a low Y bucket, not quite so good.

Having just checked back through my account you're right it is 50/100% of the actual miles.
It was a really good deal, I hope they have another similar deal this year too.

And a pity it was for only 2 flights as I have another NY trip coming up in a week... Still it did me very nicely for my second flight, which just happened to be full J to HK :-)

Yes it is a shame, I have an S to SFO return coming up soon.

Unfortunately I had already booked my qualifying flights before the offer came out so I ended up with 50% bonus on a Z to LAS and 100% on a N/S to NYC, if only I had known I would have worked it out better.

Ah thanks for the info! Ah well any extra free TP and miles are always a welcome without putting any 'extra' effort in it to get them! Cheers.

I'm surprised that you got these without registering. Unless your other half is like me and signs you up for offers.
