Grenada stopover

Hi everyone,

Thanks to a combination of help from here and really fantastic service from Crawley I have managed to sort out my trip to St Lucia...

I took your advice and went for UC via Grenada (LIAT) for the return journey but find myself with a six-hour wait before picking up the flight home. And I'll be solo on that part of the journey...

Anyone any knowledge of airport at Grenada? I hear there is a lounge but expect it will be pretty basic. Not sure I want to go off and wander the island if I'm on my lonesome. Should I try to sweet talk a hotel into letting me use their pool?! I don't even drink so it's not like I could just sit at the bar and lose a few hours.

Again I ask... what would you do?! :?

The waiting area at Grenada airport is air conditioned and there are a few shops.

There are a number of hotels (the Rex Grenadian is probably the closest) within a short taxi ride so you could easily spend your time grabbing some last rays by a hotel pool. I am sure they will do day passes giving you the run of their facilities but you can check that directly with the hotel(s).

La Source is very near the airport in Grenada and sold day passes when I was there a few years ago, it might be worth inquiring before you go if they still do.
