Last Nights VS400 Diverted via Doha

I wonder if anyone can tell me why last nights VS400 was diverted via Doha? It arrived in Dubai this morning 4 hours late. I'm curious as I am on this flight tonight, snow permitting!

Believe it or not DXB is prey to fog and sand storms ... I don't know, but these do often lead to temporary diversions.

A picture of fog, of the thick pea soup variety, appeared the day before on FT so, as Slinky suggested, that seems highly likely.
It had better be gone by Monday morning or there will be TROUBLE. ): ):

Dubai weather.
Just adding to this thread, this was Dubai as we landed on 28 January. I THINK we were on the ground; now THAT is a fog.
