The Start of my first Virgin experience

So with OLCI having opened not long ago I thought I'd check my girlfriend and I in for our flight from MAN-MCO tomorrow morning. I've never used OLCI but all seems to have gone ok.

I'm hugely excited but terribly nervous at the same time as I'm sure some of you know from my previous posts in other topics. lol. Got a keen eye on weather/turbulence forecasts and hoping for the best really!

Anyway, I shall be keeping you all updated with how we get on, and wanted to say thanks to all on here for the reassurance and advice. I'm glad I found this community! :)

One last question that I have though, is that my girlfriends flight was arranged through a family friend who we're meeting at the airport. It says after OLCI that we should bring e-tickets/paper tickets to the bag drop in desk at the airport. Will we need these tickets having checked in online? Or do they just tell you to bring them? As if my girlfriends friend checks in at the airport and goes through to the lounge before we arrive then we won't have it? :# I'm worried incase we'll need it now!!??

Thansk for the help once again!
Rob

VS will just need your passports to complete the check-in process at the airport. You can hand over e-tickets if you want to be they are not needed.

Have a fantastic trip y)

well you should be lucky, the weather has improved after the last few days of 'cool' ..today is gorgeous blue sky and heading for 80 degress

.One tip....at orlando once you have collected your bags off the carousel you go through customs then turn left. DONT send you bags through on the conveyor facing you (thats for a pcik up in the main concourse, take them with you up the escalator onto the train...it will save you a good 30 minutes standing around waiting for them to re-appear.Oh and one other thing, the Amercians call the ground floor the first (as in first level) so dont be expecting any signs saying ground floor !!

enjoy.

Thanks for the tip flabound! I'd heard about this other conveyor! I'll make sure to carry my own bags out! :)
The snow set in in Manchester tonight, fingers crossed it's lifted by morning. Set to be slightly better weather in the morning so fingers crossed. I noticed all depatures conitnued tonight, albeit, some a little late. So dont think I need worry about the weather! Just hope it's not too bumpy!:)

Well I got back from this holiday yesterday. Sorry I didn't get the outbound trip report done while I was in Orlando. I just didn't have time. I'll be writing one up today though.

Overall a decent experience and luckily both flights were very smooth so I was able to calm down a bit during the flights.

The return flight was very annoying but check out my trip report as to why.

Just wanted to say thanks to all for all the information and advice over the past few weeks. Virgin Atlantic was the best flights I've been on (although I haven't been on many) and if I was taking a trip to the USA again I'd deffinetly choose them! :D
