V-Flyer

I am off to New York in less than 50 days and jumped at the chance to try out PE on the new a330. However not experiencing it before I was wondering whether its worth it (in terms of PE) compared to A340-600 or 747? What does everyone prefer given the choice of PE?

I prefer the 747 tho have only flown in the bubble before the refurb

I don't think it's that worth it on the A330, the old PE in the bubble I thought was much much better.

I think you will find that there isn't that much difference between any of them

Service in PE on the LHR 747 can be slow because there's still only 2 cabin crew serving a lot more passengers than on the A340. Plus the loo is shared with economy (behind the curtain).

I'd go with the airbus.

That might be but thought OP was asking what plane you thought was better for PE regardless of route

There's very little difference between the PE cabins on any of the Airbus A/C, other than the MAN/LGW A/C not having any over-head lockers down the middle section of the cabin and the 343's not having their own washrooms (that's not something that bothers me in the slightest though)

Cannot comment of LHR 744's as I've never flown in the PE cabin on those.

I know there isn't much difference in the PE service or actual seats. I meant is it worth the newer entertainment for example and in terms of cabin spaciousness. Also some people just like the 747 just because its so big!

I've done all three in PE and would definitely go for the 330
