H fare when booking through VS

Good morning all.
I have just booked flights LHR-SFO-LHR for my summer trip to Lake Tahoe, I booked these through the Virgin Atlantic website and I noticed that I have a H fare for my outbound flight, I thought these were only used for Virgin Holidays Pax?
Is this normal?
I have only ever had K or S fares when flying PE.
I have an S for my return so hoping for a G to become available.
Many thanks.
Dominic

Yes, H is now a standard VS PE fare (though is still used for VH flight bookings).

Thanks James.
Would I be right in assuming that H fares are not upgradable with miles?
Many thanks

Thanks for clearing that up for me Neil, I'll just hope for the G for my return then.

I think H has replaced the K fare in that I have not seen that fare quoted for along time.
VS told me that when you have an upgrade bid accepted that goes into a K fare so maybe that is what it has been reserved for now. K was never upgradable using FC miles so H seems to be the new K !

On the disappearance of K - there was a thread about this the other week. K is still available but harder to find now.

K is still the lowest PE fare and is bookable as normal.
I booked some flights last week and our PE fare code is K, it's not in a sale period or any different to a normal booking.
H is just an additional fare code between K and S.
