VS073 Manchester to Orlando

Hello all,

I`m flying out with my mate to Orlando on the 17th May out of Manchester on Virgin VS073 747-400. Our seat map has just become available (can't actually select any yet but read has to be 89 days etc) and we're booked in Premium Economy.

Just looking at the seat map there appears to be PE upstairs and downstairs. Can anyone suggest where is best to sit? I did ring Virgin Atlantic who said all of there 747's had now been upgraded , can anyone confirm this is correct as in the past I've read about the old style aircraft having PE upstairs and it being tacky?

Hope someone can help. Thank you.

Welcome to v-flyer
Yes all the 747s have been refurbed now so you won't get an old interior or IFE .
As to where to sit personally I would go upstairs but I haven't flown on a refurb yet so I'm not sure if its as good upstairs with a split cabin as it was when it was just PE before the refurbs .
Have a look at some trip reports by going to toolbox and then to trip report index and select your flight number.this may help you .
