Does anyone know what type of aircraft this flight will be operated by? I've had a look at "which aircraft" and it's showing 75% A330, would much prefer the 747

There's now way of knowing for sure.
Even if it was 100% a 747 it could be switched at the last minute.

Expertflyer is showing it is planned (at the moment) to be operated by a 747....

Seat maps won't become available until 90 days before departure (unless things change in the interim) but If you click on the flight number in MMB it will display the scheduled aircraft type.

The 'which aircraft' only has details from the last three months. To get a better idea look at the 'schedules' as these go back further.

VS changes aircraft around on some route on a seasonal basis depending on demand and sometimes operates different types depending on the day of the week.

Looking at the data for October 2012 VS used a A330 on Tuesdays and Thursdays (and a single Monday) and a 747 the rest of the days.

But in November 2012 the the pattern was (almost) the reverse.

The which aircraft data isn't incorrect It just isn't the data that you need!

We fly on 24th Oct, would much prefer a 747 as more chance of getting a row of 3 seats!
