We are on this flight in June. Can anyone tell me what are the best seats in upper class for two?

We're on this flight next weekend and have done it a couple of times before.
The front section of the 744 is I reckon by far the best section (12-19 A & K) - spacious and roomy and has a more exclusive feel than the section behind the bar.

Generally I prefer to sit on the same side as each other in the middle of the section we're in 16/17K. You can talk over the divide and sit on the ottoman and have dinner together. This section is too wide to sit opposite each other unless you sit in 12 A/K

Have checked on the seating plan for our flight next week and the top deck (shared with economy) and the front section are now full although the the rear section is 80% free.

Seems most people prefer these two sections.

Thanks for your reply its been really helpful, and I will certainly post a trip report. We are premium on the way back, do you know what the chances are of upgrading on a p class.

Assume P fare is a reward PE fare?
If so assume you can upgrade to a UC G fare with extra miles if you pay the additional taxes.
Others may be more knowledgable but suggest you ring the FC helpline who should be able to help.
