Advice on OLCI for disabled SLF

Background:
Dad, mum, + 5y.o. & 7y.o. are off to see The Mouse from LGW. Tall, apparently fit looking, dad actually has leg muscle wasting. This means kerbside to CI, and boarding, including stairs, should be OK, but CI to outer gates may well require assistance. Most importantly he must be able to frequently exercise his legs when seated (to prevent painful problems that may lead to temporary loss of leg use) = extra legroom seat very desirable.
E cabin was booked direct with VA, and customer assistance were very helpful, just arrive at LGW and go to assistance phone/desk and all will be well! (Not sure about MCO)
Query:
On looking at the online seating allocation the reservation does not appear. I think this is a good thing as the preferred seating isn’t normally publicly shown as allocated or available. Obviously the family would like to sit together, however it may be that they appear to be separated on OLCI. If so would it be best to leave the seating allocation well alone, as they don’t want risk losing dad’s seat? Or won’t (special) seating allocations appear at OLCI?
Look forward to some guidance and reassurance from you clever people! |:)
