Well after almost four weeks with our American cousins I am returning back to Blighty.
I do have bad news, which to me, would eclipse that old tea dumping exercise that started lots of trouble for our US friends and got them to the state they are in now ): ):
The choclate cake is yet again missing from the counter. :0 I have even just gone back and asked if there is any hiding in the back.
It seems I have to put up with little red velvet cup cakes ?|

I'll check again next Friday. If enough people ask, maybe the message will get through to someone!

No choc cake again ?| Hopefully the reason is that it is so popular it has been 'sold out' the couple of times it has been vacant from the counter.
Hope your flight was a good'un y)

It was a chocolate orange ganache. So-so, and the whole family agreed that it was not a patch on the chocolate cake.

Lobbers,
Just wondering if you were handed the questionnaire on entering the CH in BOS about food and service?
When I walked in the the CH the guy remembered me from a few weeks before (not sure how they do that ?| ) and asked if I had filled one in last time.
I like the unique atmosphere that the CH at BOS has a greater range of food would be a massive bonus. ^)

No, I didn't get a questionnaire. I will send them an email though about cake-gate.
I like the cosy atmosphere of the Boston Clubhouse, but it can get quite busy in there, as the IcelandAir flight departs later. Not as bad as it used to be around 6.00 when Iberia also used to share. I can't complain as they allowed Lobbers Jnr in yesterday when i already Mrs L as my guest.
Regarding the food, they don't have everything displayed at the deli anymore (e.g. you have to ask for the prawn cocktail), but now they have a menu on the tables to see what is on offer. Yesterday, I tried the roast beef, smoked salmon, bell peppers (always a nice kick to them, but now they've lost their filling), the chicken Vietnamese Pho, and the chocolate ganache. All good! They had run out of Tanqueray, so it was a Bombay Sapphire G&T. Too bad!
