Hello
Might sound a bit of a silly question, except I'm allergic to mushrooms and the last couple of flights I have taken every option seemed to be 'xxxx with mushrooms' n(
I don't mind eating before I board but I will make sure I take a sandwich or something on board with me if the Fungi fascination is still rampant.

Ha ha ha, not all the inflight meals but they appear to be pretty heavily favoured in PE. Which class are you travelling?
Might wanna make VS aware of this before you fly.. It is a shame to say that, for VS at least, having a mushroom allergy requires a special meal!!

Does anyone have the current PE menu?
Flying to NY on the VS9 on 29th March, back on the VS2 on 11th April.

I'm booked in Economy, in the bubble but keeping an eye out as might upgrade a bit nearer the time.
My last trip all the food seemed to be mushroom based - the trip before that was the same. I don't fancy being violently sick (or worse) while several thousand feet up in the air!

I'm also allergic to mushrooms and so before my last flight (Gatwick Montego Bay in February)I phoned customer service and requested a meal without them. I was in PE (downstairs out and upstairs in. As it happened there were PE main courses without them, but at least I could relax knowing that those would not be gone by the time they got to me!

Not all, but the odd cherry tomato with a gravy 'jus' can appear - so do watch out ): .

Great, I don't like tomatoes either (yes, I am a fussy eater although you would never guess it) :w
I'm thinking of loading up on lunch before we board as we are on the later flight for the first time ever.

I would recommend that anyone with any sort of food allergy, or who's a fussy eater, either eats at the airport or orders a special meal.
It's just common sense when there are only three choices, or less if they run out.

Just being slightly facetious, I thought that they used steam pressure ovens rather than mushrooms?

Ha ha ha, clever.
I'm with Ian, also preferring to snack on the components of an oven as opposed to the mushroom filled vegetarian option.. Oh yeh VS believe mushroom is a vegetable.. nowhere is safe. ):
