all the seat maps on the below site do not show them.

http://www.seatguru.com/

any ideas?

thanks

Steve

Seat guru is quite far behind with adding the latest LGW/MAN 747 config.

Thankfully both the VS site, and our own seat maps (look in the Toolbox section) are much more up to date and have it.

There doesn't appear to be a middle block of DEFG seats in row 50 on the seat map posted.

Ah ha, good spot, which must mean the OP is on an A330 a/c on the way out and then a 747 on their return.

Again this shows a lack of media savvy by VS.

All it would take is an email to seat guru (and seat expert) to say 'hey guys these are our latest seat maps please update your website'

I should think there are many bigger fish to fry than seatguru ...

seatguru has gone down in recent years and is not the place I automatically go to first now for any one of a number of airlines.

But it would be an easy win for VS - if you google 'where is the best seat on a plane' then seatguru comes top, then airline quality (aka sky trax) then seat expert - to at least ensure that those three have the correct seat maps is hardly a major job is it?

But given that VS does not even respond to its own FB page 24/7 (look at the 'navy girl' crisis and the lack of rapid response) or the fact that it takes them to weeks to correct a known error on their website then they have no one else to blame when people complain about them

Why automatically assume VS are at fault?

For all we know Seatguru already have the info and just don't update their site.

They still don't have any seat maps at all for the A333 3-class configs, for instance, and they've been in service for a good year now.

But the A333 3-class IS listed on seatexpert which suggests the problem may lie with Seatguru, not VS.

The company I work for has issues with Google displaying wrong information about us, response time to get things fixed is slower than treacle.

Could be the same with SeatGuru? However it's in both VS and SG's interests to have up to date info displayed.

y)

People are always so keen and quick to point the blame towards VS v(

It should 100% the responsibility of the people who run the site to keep things up to date and accurate, be that Seat Guru, the VS website, even V-Flyer, and it isn't easy all the time, but if you advertise yourself as the number 1 seat ratings website, then you should make sure you have all the latest seat maps.

Quite right.

However, it would also be in Virgin's interests if they pro-actively kept these sites updated with the latest information. Maybe they already do, who knows...
