Morning from the SQ lounge in Manila

Hardly anyone in here yet, but that's my fault as I arrived far too early for my connection to SIN and have a couple of hours to kill.

The airport itself is still chaotic, it was like a busy summer holiday morning at Gatwick, and that was at 5.15am. Economy check in lines snaking here there and everywhere. long queues to pay departure tax, and then for immigration. So not the most fun place to be when you're half asleep and have a headache...

But I have to agree with Slinky's comment from last year - this lounge is far, far nicer than the Cathay offering across the hall. Admittedly the hot breakfast is a bit eclectic (eggs, hot dogs, boiled rice and mushroom soup) but I have managed to make myself look like a brit abroad with some toast and marmalade, washed down with English breakfast tea, in a proper teapot no less... all I'm missing is a monocle and a cane...

Airport sounds a nightmare and chuckled at the breakfast!

Enjoy your flight!

I know it well, and the eggs v( . If you can find the SQ business check-on you can get to the lounge quite quickly, but as you say, it is a scrum! Have a good flight, next step the humidity of Changi!
