It Pays To Keep Checking for Reward Availability

When, back in January, I booked our reward trip to NYC for just after Easter our outbound leg was limited to VS9, so a lateish arrival and a 330 to boot. Not that I necessarily have anything against the 330, but I'd wanted to try the day flight back and that's a 330 so I had hoped to do a bit of mixing and matching.

Since booking I've occasionally checked for any other availability, and today, bingo! Shifted to VS45 for a change fee, seats in the A Zone on a 747 and an extra evening in Manhattan. Bliss. Just need to do some training for the race to immigration....

Well done, I'm glad to hear it pays off in the end.
I'm still checking twice a day for my upgrades.

Very true of that statement when I went to Havana last year I started at PE then the outbound went free and two weeks before departure the return came available and yes I checked everyday .
