Had asked for mobility assistance for my wife, from the moment we used DTCI at LHR there was a wheelchair provided to take her to the Clubhouse and this was the same at HK and SYD airports and also on the return trip until we reached LHR on return where 5 people in wheelchairs were left just outside the aircraft in minus tempertures for around 10 mins, anyway 2 great trips and will do a detailed TR once we have warmed up

LHR is shocking and unfortunately outside Virgins control as every airline has to use the airports own assistance company. They ate not allowed to use the ride on buggies along that section where the gates are so they have to wheel each pax individually to the immigration hall and if the aren't enough staff they have to do a relay back and forth with each pax which is a very long way from the furthest gates so pax are often sat waiting for ages at the top of the jetty. It's not a good welcome to LHR so sorry you had that experience but glad the rest of the trip was good.
