Little red...

Morning everyone

So after years of being forced to suffer British airways shuttles down to Heathrow from Manchester for my virgin flights, this morning I got my first taste of little red.

I have to say I pleasantly surprised. Flight was on time, the cabin is so much nicer than BA, and they seem to have ironed out the bacon sandwich distribution! The aircraft was probably half full which is to be expected for a new service.

I love the coach connection. I was in the club house within 20 mins of arriving at the gate at T1 which is pretty impressive. Terminal 5 used to take me at least an hour and a bit with collection luggage! What I thought was promising for virgin was most of the flight connected to long haul.. Time with tell but I thought that was really positive.

Ill do a more detailed trip report, but my English breakfast has arrived so will leave it there. Looking forward to my upperclass trip to Mumbai in an hour.

Have a great weekend!

Nick

I am really impressed too with Little Red and agree a real step up from BA. I will be on third Little Red flight later with two more planned for next week.

Pleased the transfer went well. Enjoy your UC experience to Mumbai.

Desperate to try Little red but live near Heathrow and no need to head north at the moment, VS to Shanghai from Manchester is £60 cheaper than direct from Heathrow in economy :? will contact VS and see if any offers in PE or Upper :)

Don't know if anyone else has posted this (apologies if so) but it seems VS have decided to cap the taxes and fees for Little Red reward seats at £30.

That makes it a better deal than BA who also charge £30 but also take 9,000 Avios for a round trip as opposed to VS' 7,500 miles.
