First time poster here be kind.

Travelling to Vegas on the 25/08 this year i did the sae trip last year and with out pre booking seats ended up on the uppder deck economy.

This year i have booked through Expeda because i got a great deal but the draw back of this is that i cannot upgrade my flights from economy to PE as Virgin told me to speak to Expedia to do this Expedia then said they couldn't do it not great as i wanted to do this for my girlfriends birthday which is on the day we fly.

Hopefully i should be able to do this at the airport if they have space?

Could anyone check the load for the flight? I know the standard procedure is that i have to wait 90 days before the seats become available

Hello and welcome!

Definitely worth enquiring at the airport about upgrading on the day with cash. Some fellow v-flyers have had fantastic success with on the day upgrades. Just don't get your hopes up too much! The load at the moment is showing ...

J/6 C/6 D/6 I/6 Z/6
W/9 S/9 K/9 Y/9 B/9 R/9 L/9 U/9 M/9 E/9 Q/9 X/9 N/9 O/0

... but things always change!

Good luck with the upgrade :) and have a fantastic trip.

Yes always worth asking at the airport.

Not sure how useful a load check is 3 months in advance though as a lot of things can change.

Am a bit surprised at Expedia saying they couldn't do anything for you so maybe you just got a bad agent. VS were right though - as its a travel agent booking they can't touch it until something like 24 hrs before departure.

Even if Expedia could sell you an upgrade, presumably it would be the same price as if you'd bought PE in the first place. (I'm assuming you mean paying cash to upgrade rather than using miles, which Expedia certainly can't help with.)

As others have said, if you're after a good deal on an upgrade you'll have to take your chances at the airport. Just don't count on it - it's a bank holiday weekend so could turn out to be a very busy flight and even if upgrades are available to buy, they won't necessarily be super-cheap.

Loads on LAS flights are unpredictable - all it takes is a conference or a few stag parties and they can suddenly fill up.

(If you did mean upgrading with miles, the fare bucket you're booked into almost certainly won't permit that. Changing it would be very expensive.)
