Virgin call centre Grrrr

Hi
My Flight to mco was showing an upgrade of 279 outbound to PE and £150 for PE return, 2 weeks ago I called up and upgraded the return sector, no problem at all.

The outbound sector upgrade price disappeared off the website as soon as I upgraded the inbound. Today I called to ask for a price to upgrade the outbound.

1st call... Cant be done
2nd call, £499.
3rd call £699!

Now i know they are working off a alive system etc but can there really be that much inconsistency? The first call I was told almost as soon as I have given my PNR that it was impossible to upgrade without buying a new ticket.

Seems odd that Virgins systems are so bad that the advisers have to bash away at a calculator to get a price- and an odd one at that!
