Virgin Atlantic Little Red VS3045 - LHR-MAN 10/05/13

It's not often that UK domestic flights get much, if any praise, buit I think that the crew of yesterday's VS 3045 from Heathrow to Manchester definitely deserves some.

With a scheduled departure time of 2045 from Heathrow, we were to due into Manchester until 2135.

I therefore did not anticipate boarding by 2005, leaving the gate at 2028, and was airborne by 2043. We arrived into Manchester at 2111, and I was in my hotel, downtown, by 2200.

Other airlines would have just waited till the scheduled departure time, but not Little Red! Well done to the crew for their efforts in an early arrival.

A special hello and thanks to our excellent cabin crew. Well done to you all.

Thanks for sharing and great to hear - as a "regular" on Little Red between Manchester and Heathrow I will say every cabin crew member I have come across are nothing short of fantastic. They are welcoming, friendly and fun.

Even with a 3hr delay to contend with as I experienced on the VS3044 on Thursday evening, due to a technical issue with "Rosie Lee" the crew were still all smiles and made our quick hop down to Heathrow just as enjoyable.

Returning yesterday on VS3043 we left the gate 10mins early landing into Manchester 15mins early, and within 15mins of landing had left the aircraft, collected my case, walked to the train station and was on the train to Yorkshire.......Little Red are certainly impressive and are taking the fight to BA....nice to see another healthy load onboard yesterday and long may that continue.

I have to agree - three Little Red flights under my belt now and the Aer Lingus crew are terrific.

Definitely agree with you both. I did the inaugurals from Manchester to Heathrow and Heathrow to Manchester.

Same crew as my VS3045.

Excellent interaction and a refreshing change from BA. Just wish more passengers would use the service.

Enjoy the Little Red experience whenever you can.

I'm flying back today on the VS3048

We were probably sat near each other as I did the inaugurals both ways too.....I know the crew members you are talking about, they were also on my VS3044 on Thursday evening.

Enjoy the flight today.

Hi Jon,

We both got to share in the fun. Shame there wasn't more effort on the inaugural flight out of Heathrow, at least from the ground staff.

I'm at the gate now, just waiting for what I assume will be EI-EZW.

Have a good day!

They've started appearing on corporate travel sites. May have just been the day, but the chap I sit next to at my current client was shipped LHR-EDI and return for £50 less than BA.
