Tier points Q

Hello all!

Have a question about Tier Points. I remember hearing that if you go over the 40points needed for renewal during the year it won't count towards the next year target. Fair enough. Ended with 4* something so all over i lost.

But I flew on May 30 2013 and my year ended on may 30 2013. As you see in screenshot the 5 tier points I earned were dropped. Does the day ITSELF count aswell as the old one? Or would there be a possibility if I e-mail/write Virgin they could give those to me for the new year? Any tier points help obv. so i don't know how flexible virgin is? Any experience?

You could try an email to the FC, but I'm sure the rule is that these points were earned in your previous year - ending on 31st May 2013 - so they are history.
The good news is that you get 13 months, up to 30th June 2014 to renew.

Cheers
Martin

I rather think that your year ended on May31st 2013 and not May 30th. Membership years end on the last day of the month in question so your flight on May 30th was the day before the year ended and therefore the TPs were lost. The fact that your account will expire on May 30th 2016 refers to the last date of activity on your account, not your membership expiry date.

You could try ringing FC to see if they will credit your flight on May 30th to your current year but be prepared for a no.

Hmmmm, in my opinion would say it is a no... we have all been there, with activity at the year end that gets brushed under the carpet, so I can def relate to your question ii)

One thing I have learned over the years though... It is always worth asking :P

I notice that Delta allow rollover of their TP equivalent.
For this to work though VS need to have official higher levels than 40tp.
It does seem fair - you have earned them after all.
