Was checking something to try and answer query and noticed this

From 1 August 2013, redemption bookings between London Heathrow, Manchester, Aberdeen and Edinburgh will incur a charge of £35.

on the SPENDING YOUR MILES ON FLIGHTS WITH US page of the VS website.

How long has this been VS policy? Hard to tell as VS don't put 'updated on xxxxx' dates on pages.

News to me.... good spot tonty.

Is that on top of the "taxes and surcharges" currently set at £30 or is that an increase of £30 - £35 from 1st August I wonder :?

Don't panic.. it's an increase from £30 to £35.
Not an addition.

OK so just yet another example of a badly worded VS announcement / policy.

Any normal organisation would have written something like

'... we hare increasing the current fee from £30 to £35 from ...'

At least VS only require 7500 miles for a return MAN>LHR reward saver fare. BA require 9000 miles for their lowest fee reward saver fare on the same route.
