Rachel, the country is denoted by that first letter of each aircraft's identity (or callsign).
Hence those with
N, such as N637VA, N622VA are Virgin America's aircraft registered in the USA (I think the N is for
North America (aviation buffs please correct me if wrong)).
The
G as in G-VRAY, G-VSXY etc are Virgin Atlantic's British registered fleet starting with a
G for
Great Britain.
Not a stupid question at all. Indeed this forum is great because people can and do ask all sorts of questions about thing they don't know.
