VS015 - PE Row 18/19

Hi,
We are a party of 4, and I have just made the seat request online for row 18A/C and 19A/C.
LGW > MCO

Not much else was available strangely even though I was on at 8am at -90 days!

Are these a good choice?
Do they have windows? (I thought I read somewhere they didn't?)
Bubble was completely not available for selection (but I think I would prefer downstairs space anyway), and only 17A/C and most of H/K were available for selection

Thanks :)

Hi and welcome :)

They are good seats, we had the same 4 last year when we flew with my parents.
They work well in my opinion as they are towards the rear of the cabin and are well located for a speedy exit towards immigration.
They have windows so no issue there either.

Neil

perfect, thanks for the quick response!

I just need to keep an eye on the request now, and hope we don't get moved!

Having read some threads about this subject I am surprised that you can be moved. I do realise that the seat request is simply that - a request. However why would you get moved prior to check-in at the airport? just curious to know what the reasons could likely be?

+ change of plane type
+ needing to seat a family / group together
+ if the seats are more suitable for pax needing special assistance - easier access to the aisle or the toilet for example

and the much over used but ill defined 'operational reasons'

Even BA, who will charge you for a seat request, still reserves the right to move you.

Some airlines will even boot you out if another pax with very high status than you wants those particular seats.

thanks Tontybear

They all seem like reasonable reasons to me.
I am not sure that I would be prepared to pay for a seat request giving that you could be moved anyway.
