Hello, Does anyone know if VA are still partnered with Jet Blue. They are not listed on the VA site under 'partnership' but Virgin Atlantic is listed as a partner on the Jet Blue site.

I'd like to use them to fly down from JFK into Orlando, however it has been pointed out to me that problems can occur if a different transatlantic or internal airline is delayed or cancelled and the connection not made ii)

Don't think they are, we used them on Saturday to get from JFK to San Diego. Very good service

I don't believe Jet Blue has ever been a full partner, there was a baggage interlining agreement agreement a couple of years ago though. Many of us would have liked a fuller partnership, Jet Blue offered a lot of options on the Eastern seaboard to connect up the dots with VS's network (and I remember talking / telling this to a VS Exec too) - but now with DL I doubt that will happen.

You'll definitely be able to get a VS and Jetblue journey booked on to the same PNR, which protects you in case of delay/missed connection and so on. I have done this myself.

Jetblue is an excellent airline, I recommend them 100%. Free snacks, free checked bags, 34" seat pitch, free live TV etc. The upgrade to Even More Space is pretty good too. Gets you 38" seat pitch (same as VS PE) and fast track security on the ground.

Only fly in the ointment is no FC miles or TPs, which you would earn on Delta.

Thanks for your replies. If we book a virgin flight it's good news to know the whole journey can be booked under the same reference - I assume I'd have to ring VS to arrange this.

We have travelled several times on Jet Blue, they are a brilliant airline and the fares which have just been released covering April are very competitive only wish he transatlantic leg was cheaper.

You have to book the whole trip via VS at the same time - they won't add a separate JB flight you've booked to the VS PNR so you won't be protected should there be delays etc.

agree with the JB praise. I just recently took out their Amex card...$1000 spend 20000 miles.....that's 3 one ways between Fla and NY for only $2.50 a flight

Wow that sounds good - shame JB won't give their Amex card to uk residents, that would cut our costs down a bit ii)
