Hi All, firstly.. Congrats on a great site.... Only found it today & have been browsing for hours!!
I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping someone will be able to answer for me.
Myself & 3 others are flying PE to Vegas in Dec & UC from JKF back. I'm looking to reserve our seats... I know it will be 90 days before I can but what I was wondering is will it be midnight on day 90 or when the clock on the my flights page clicks over? Also... I have heard that as 4 of us are travelling we will not be able to reserve our seats anyway... Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks all.. Again, great site

In theory it's EXACTLY 90 days from your departure time (so if it's a midday flight, midday at T-90).
In practice, though, it's normally a few hours before that - not midnight though. Try looking about 4-5 hours before but don't worry if you get an error message, just keep trying every hour or so.
You may be right about the 4 people thing - I seem to recall a thread discussing that - someone wiser than me will know!

Just to emphasise you are making a seat request and not a reservation and it has been known for seats to be changed by VS for all sorts of reasons.
Not heard of the 4 people restriction thing though.

I frequently request 4 seats and have never had issues, provided of course there are actually seats available to choose!

I have also had no problem requesting multiple seats, 7 of us on our last trip. Don't forget to request seats for your return trip as well

Have a great time

Oddly enough I am just off the phone to VS UC helpline.
They told me that their servers are based in California, so the time T-90 is dependant on California time less GMT.
This sounds feasible as I managed to request outward seats at T90+1hr. But on checking today for the return T91 I can log in and they offer the seats but can't book (error message hence the phone call). So I will tomorrow at GMT rather than BST (as I am actually flying when the clocks have changed - after Oct).
Hope that makes sense!

So if your flight is at midday then the seat request should in theory open at 5am at T-90?
If its currently BST but the flight is in GMT then midday plus one hour minus 8hrs (US west coast time)?

That was the theory yes.
It does seem to have worked on my return booking for November. T-90 minus 8 hours.
Although there is scheduled maintenance tomorrow, so I will recheck on Monday as last time it wiped me out.
Due to essential website maintenance, the following will be unavailable from 23:00 on 1 September to 06:30 on 2 September 2013 UK time:
Flight booking

I've just managed to access outbound seat selection 4hrs ahead of T90 too so there is a bit of flex in the system!

Thanks for that will check my booking at 6:30 on the 2nd in the hope that all seat requests are lost and I can get a bubble seat for my return from MCO in November as I missed out on one when requests opened on Wednesday.
