Champagne and Cupcakes

Hello!

It's my sister and her family's first holiday in ten years in December (we are all off to Orlando for Christmas) and I am planning on booking a bottle of champagne for her and my brother in law on board as a treat/celebration.

My niece will be 8 by the time we go and as much as she would probably like the champagne, I was hoping to get something special for her as well.

Randomly I had a call from Virgin just now about another trip I have next year and while I was on the phone, asked for any suggestions for said 8 year old.

She did suggest the cupcakes which I know niece would love!

Just wondering if any fellow V-Flyers have booked the quart bottles of champagne and/or the cupcakes and their opinions!

Or any other suggestions of a surprise treat for them. We are flying PE out and UC back (my sister knows this but B-i-L and niece don't).

Thanks in advance! :)

Yep,

I did this for my Sister and her husband (Champers) and the 8 year old twin girls (cupcakes) on their first VS trip to the Mouse last year. y)

They went out and back in EC.

It went down a storm. The rugrats tucked into the cupcakes (massive) helped by Ma n Pa and the Champers was devoured by the Olds (Along with a cupcake each 'cos they were too big for the kids to get through!). :o)

They're wasnt a dry eye between the 4 of them....even CC were "fillin' up!

Go on treat 'em on the trip out in PE....it will be a brill start to their Mouse hunting expedition. ^)

Enjoy the trip

We got married on Venice Beach in July and my daughters arranged for cupcakes on the way home!! They were delivered to our seats shortly after take off. For some reason Virgin decided to give us 12 cupcakes instead of the 4 ordered, so we took the spares home. They tasted delicious, but were a little battered as the crew explained that they also endured the outbound flight!

sounds really nice! nice touch.

Does anyone know if it is possible to order a quart bottle of champagne for a passenger in UC? Will the champagne have to be consumed on the flight?

Thanks guys, appreciate the comments! And very glad to hear the cupcakes were well received!

I've ordered a bottle of Prosecco for them both and some chocolate cupcakes for my niece. Not horrendously priced so very happy this morning :D

I think you can via the Pre Order Duty Free team (that is who I spoke to anyway!) before they fly.

Number is 0844 579 0055. :)

The champagne can be either drunk in flight or carried off as duty free.
