Best of luck to everyone travelling in the next 24-36 hours. I see BA have issued a waiver for London airports tomorrow, but VS haven't done so yet.

Yeah, was due to be on LR down the LHR later today and backup tomorrow. With the projected weather, changed my plans to another date and VS sorted the change without any fuss or change fee which was welcomed warmly by me.

I am currently in the Hilton hoping and praying the storm bypasses the area and we can leave reasonably much on time tomorrow although have a strong feeling that will not be the case

See some of the inbound flights to LHR/LGW are delayed so they arrive after 9am in the morning

Yes, looks like the first return trip of the day on each route has been cancelled. Domestic & short-haul are always the first to go - no doubt BA will have dozens cancelled.

Several London commuter train companies have cancelled everything before 9am - no-one's taking any chances.

I always choose the wrong days to fly. I should perhaps start to write trip reports to rival Honeylamb! My outbound has apparently been rebooked on to the next available flight (got a text at 5:40pm) however I can't access manage my booking to see which flight I have been rebooked on to. :(

I was on the VS18 from Newark tonight and although we were a little delayed taking off – the flight was fine. It was a v quick flight time 5 hours and 50mins or so and pretty smooth. The pilot was great and kept us v much informed as to what was going on and any possible issues coming in to London… I hope those on the night flight are not too badly affected.

Well I am sat at gate 8 waiting for the 11.20 to EDI LHR seems a bit quiet thismorning.
is the BA flight to Dublin ever on time??
Every time I am here (quite a lot recently) it has 'a slight delay to the service due to the late arrival of the aircraft' surely they should adjust the schedule?

Just arrived at LGW from Vegas. Arrival ahead of schedule and no disruption whatsoever to the flight which was smoother then ever. Sun was brightly shining making all wonder on the plane what the hype was all about..

Flying to Narita for a special trip for my daughter for five days.

Now there is a five hour delay due to something hitting the plane while it was on the ground, but only told 45 mins before departure.

My chauffeur will now not be there (not a VA chauffeur) so will probably have to get the train now.
