Hi I'm trying to get a load check on vs043 for 6th September 2014. I'm trying on expert flyer but can't figure it out. Do I need to pay for the privilege?
Thanks in advance
Darren

You can do it for free at flightstats.

It's pointless doing a load check for a flight that's still 10 months away though - the vast majority of passengers won't have booked yet so the stats you see today will bear absolutely no resemblance to the actual load on the day.

Pretty safe to say, though, that VS43 will be busy on a Saturday.

Thanks for the advice, just looking at prices and they seemed high. Must be the Saturday effect

Date is too far out to do a load check on flightstats , leave it til the new year , all the high fare codes will be loaded at the moment

Yes, even though flights go on sale at around T-11 months, the cheaper fares don't tend to appear immediately.

This is because airlines know full well there's a proportion of passengers - the "worrywarts" - who insist on booking as soon as possible, perhaps because their holiday dates are fixed and they're worried that flights will sell out. The airlines know they can charge them more in the knowledge they'll book anyway.

After a few weeks, once those passengers have booked, they'll load the cheaper fares. Which then, of course, may come down even more during sales.

So don't be a "worrywart". As far as the airlines are concerned, people who feel the need to book as soon as flights go on sale are cash cows, there to be milked dry.

Thanks again!
When I get a txt today from the other half about Vegas in sept, with hotel prices and flights I started to worry.
Normally I'd get home and it would be booked! Luckily I confused him with flight loads tier points and rewards and the promise of checking when I got home.
I never knew there was so much to learn/understand about flying!
Thank you!
