I have recently booked an Orlando trip through Virgin Holidays. I now have plenty pf airmiles and would like to spend some on this trip. Is it possible to spend the miles to upgrade even though I booked through VH?

Hi,
I am going to go with experience here and say you cannot as the seats issued via VH are in a "bucket" that do not allow upgrades.
The only option you may have is wait until day of departure and ask at the airport in case they have an overbook issue.

To confirm. Air miles can only be used on direct bookings through virgin Atlantic.
You can get vouchers for VH with your miles but this does not give a very good return.

It might be worth asking as checkin if there are any seats available to upgrade - they might allow you to do it there with miles.

I have used miles to upgrade in the past when booking through a flight only sales company. You just have to be specific about the booking class. Usually these people book in the lowest class, which obviously you can't upgrade.
