LGW-BGI advice

Hi all

been a long time since last posting and receiving lots of helpful advice about our honeymoon to Kenya a couple of years ago. We are now preparing for our first long haul flight since, with an almost two year old in tow. I booked PE reward out, but managed to snare a couple of Gs yesterday. We can't request seats online because of travelling with an infant but the call centre are able to. I'm told that the seats are all window seats with a central space, which suggests a 747 to me. Does anyone have any suggestions for seats to request? The agent last night said pretty light load.

Also- coming back we have booked reward economy with an extra seat- for the princely sum of £60 which I am very impressed with indeed. I hadn't heard of this before speaking to the flying club people.

Hope all are well.

JB

If it is a Gatwick-based 747, there are only 14 UC seats in a nice private cabin in the nose.

Because of the curvature of the plane, the two seats at the front (6A and 6K) are very close to each other and are great for a couple.

The further back you go, the further apart the seats and it becomes impossible to chat across the aisle, so you're looking at two seats next to each other (eg 8A & 9A).

There is a bar at the back of the cabin so rows 11 & 12 aren't popular with some because of the noise and extra traffic.
