VS400 LHR-DXB 25 Mar 2014(Upper Class)

Hello

I was lucky enough to book Reward Seats in UC for our trip to Dubai in March next year - our first experience of UC and we're so excited :D
I am hoping someone can give me some advise about seat allocation, chauffeur service and facilities in the LHR Clubhouse. I have researched the forum but haven't found the answer to my questions.

I have looked at the seating plan and not sure whether to book 2 seats together 1.e. 1K and 2K or either side of the aisle i.e. 2G & 2K. I don't particularly want to sit near the bar and as I get claustrophobic I would prefer not to sit in the middle of the cabin. What would you advise?

We will be travelling down to London by train and, as I have only around 18,000 miles left I have thought about booking the chauffeur service from Euston to LHR. Has anyone used this service and, if so, would you recommend it?

The Clubhouse :D - we plan to arrive at the airport around 4pm and our flight is 9.10pm. If I wanted a manicure and haircut would I be able to book this beforehand or wait until I get there?
Is there any restriction on how long we can spend in the Clubhouse?

Thanks for any help you can give - I'm sure i'll have more questions before we leave.

Hi and welcome.

I personally would choose seats that are on the same side like 1A/K for example. The most recommended seats would probably be 3/4K or around 9/10A, so for you I would try for any of the low numbers on the K side. These are better than the A side in the low numbers as you don't have any suits opposite just the wall.

I would personally not waste miles on the CDC, I feel it offers very poor value for the miles and would save them towards future flights/upgrades. However if you don't think you will ever fly VS in the near future then maybe it would be an option.

There is no limit to the amount of time you can spend in the CH. You are allowed one free treatment each, however a number of the treatments are chargeable or there are 'light' versions for free. I would have hoped that arrived nearly 5 hours before your flight you should be able to get a treatment that you want, but do book as soon as you enter the lounge.

Any further questions just ask.

Many thanks Neil. I appreciate your quick response.

I'm unlikely to fly VS now until 2015 so may consider the CDC just to make the journey a bit more comfortable.
