Baggage allowance on virgin red

Hi

Looking at booking virgin red from manchester to Heathrow the day before we fly to LA in July.

My question is we are flying upper class to LA and do virgin red acknowledge the 32kg luggage allowance or do I have to keep to the 23kgs

They are offering 2x 23kg if we book but don't want to do that if I can help it.

And yes i do take the kitchen sink with me on holiday ;)

Thanks in advance

Sharon

I think the Upper luggage allowance will only be recognised if it's all booked together and the Little Red flight is a connecting flight

I would hope that this (seemingly new) rule doesn't apply to Little red conections;

If you've booked a journey with Virgin Atlantic which includes Virgin Atlantic mixed class or a trip on another airline, each class or airlines baggage allowance will apply for each of the individual sectors

EDIT:

This looks more hopeful;

If you’re connecting to a Virgin Atlantic longhaul flight, Premium Economy passengers can bring an extra bag of up to 23kg. Upper Class passengers can bring three bags of up to 32kg.

Does this apply to separate tickets too? What page is correct?

The 2x23kg offer is only valid between 26/12/13 and 02/02/14
