I have a quick question about the benefit you get at 60 points.

According to the website you get a lounge pass for 2 at 60 points. I hit gold with 40 points in November. Do I just need to get another 20 points in any time period when I am gold to earn these or is it 60 in a calendar year?

Assuming it is just another 20, has anyone experience of how quickly they send them out and how they do it?

The reason I ask is that I calculate I will get through this limit when I fly out in mid May. A week later the family is flying out to join me and we will all come back together at the end of May. Ideally I would like to get all 4 of us into the JFK lounge on the way back, but I will only be able to do this if I can show I have the required 60 points.

Any advice appreciated?

You need 60 TPs within a single membership year, and the additional 2 guest passes are sent to you in the post around the time you next renew your gold membership.

You need to hit 60 points by the end of your membership year (which is different to the date printed on your gold card).

...and for reference, they're sent out in the mail. It's a tri-fold purple card with a form to fill out on the inside.

I didn't get mine and had to send an email, it arrived from Switzerland about 2 weeks later.

They can be a bit slow on the delivery some times... not just for these, I have been waiting for replacement AU tags for a few weeks now. Lucky I don't need them just yet isn't it

They are awarded on renewal of AU if you have 60TP or more showing on your account. I know that won't be any good for your purposes, but the JFK lounge is a pay access lounge too, so they might let you pay access for the extra couple travelling with you. Well worth giving it a shot.

Also - make sure you have your mailing preferences set to on. I didn't get them for ages and after chasing they claimed it was cause my mailing preferences was set to not receive information by post.

I didn't get mine automatically either, so I emailed the contact centre and a few weeks later they sent them through. Mine came from Jarrow (Newcastle).

Yes, used mine to get my 2 kids into the LGW CH last easter. Believe they have an expiry date of about a year so best you dust yours off pronto!

Yep, my folks appropriated them as soon as I got the last set

If I reach 60TP this year I have already promised to pass them onto some friends on condition they use them for the LHR CH..

I am willing to sacrifice and take any spare ones off your hands tinuks

Don't despair just yet... although it may not be official policy, I've never had any issue with paying a supplement on the door to get my 2 cherubs into either the LHR or LGW CH. Half price too if they are under 12.

As you say, the alternative is leaving them outside on the steps with some vimto and crisps...
