on the DXB flight later for a few days of beach at the new waldorf in RAK, got a pair of UC on miles+money

checked in early to enjoy things and forget all about work before the flight

first bubbly ordered within 60 seconds, now having a deli snack while sungodess visits the spa, then it'll be the CH burger

not too busy so far, but there's a strong smell of exhaust fumes in here! something amiss with the ventilation

i'm sure another bubbly will resolve it, if not, i'll keep trying until it does

I too noticed the fumes when I was there a couple of weeks back, so can only assume this is is a regular thing

Have a great time in the CH and in Dubai , thought the fumes were par for the course in the CH ,don't think I've ever been in there when I haven't smelt them

I noticed exhaust fumes when I was there too
As long as it's ok the smell kinda adds to the atmosphere of being at the airport no?
But wonder if it's normal?

The exhaust fumes are from the van taking the red head /bubbly empties to the recycling.
