Thinking of treating ourselves to a lounge in T3.

Firstly, can you get views of the airport in T3 (outside of lounges?)before going through to the gates?. If not do you get views in the lounges. The avgeek in me would like to know.

Which one do you recommend and are they worth the money. Currently looking at a discounted price of £50 for the 2 of us?

We used the number 1 lounge a 2 years ago. Views onto the airport. Good drinks good food. Joined through there website for 12 months I got in free and my partner was discounted. Worth checking out to see if they still have this offer on.

If you are flying club gold or silver you can get a discount if I recall correctly.

Yes definitely the No.1, a cut above most shared lounges. Certainly better than Servisair.

No.1 are currently offering £45 for 2 (with a £25 discount for Red loyalty).

Is that good value? How good are the views of the airport from the lounge?

As the rest of T3 has no windows a lot better.
I think the no.1 overlooks the centre of the south runway towards the cargo base, above the gates SAS use.

I'd happily pay £22.50 for it.

Travelzoo recently had a very good offer which I took advantage of. They offered the No. 1 Traveller Lounge at LHR T3 for £20 inc. glass of champagne. The offer has now sold out but worth checking every so often.
